Lil Brother

The "Lil Brother" was a smaller version of the Associated line of hit and miss engines. The model was built from a set of castings and drawings purchased from the late Paul Breisch. I met Paul at the Pennsylvania Live Steamers tracksite. He lived in that part of the world. His castings were always nice and easy to machine. This little engine performs well and has been known to run all day at the shows only to stop when out of fuel. Lately, it has taken up the habit of quitting after short runs due to the plug fouling with water vapor. Never a problem before, one wonders what changed to cause this to occur. Just another thing to sort out when time allows. Too many irons in the fire to attend to it now.
