1/4 Scale Novi V-8 In Progress

        This engine is being built from photos shown on the Miller/Offenhauser website and information found in the book on the Novi written by Carl Ludvigsen. Progress has been slow due to intrusions on time available. It's all being machined from the solid in the same manner as the Offy. The supercharger is geared to run at over five times the engine speed as per the original. All four camshafts are gear driven as will be the water and oil pumps. Ignition will be spark. The shaft protruding at the front right side of the engine is the starter shaft. It turns the crank through a set of spiral bevel gears and a needle clutch bearing. It should be an interesting engine to hear run; providing it does. One never knows.
