Virginia Number 2

This Locomotive was a spinoff of Virginia Number 1. It was built to the same drawings but sports a shortened smokebox and an earlier style wooden cab. Scaled up a third bigger, it runs on 4 3/4 inch gauge track. Shown here in its original colors, it was later repainted with a maroon lagging. Many miles have been logged on this engine. It earned the nickname " Energizer Bunny" because it keeps going and going. Only the axelboxes have ever been replaced. It is a joy to run. It steams freely and never fails to be the first loco out on the track and often the last one in. It has lost some of the luster shown in this photo, but none of the power and performance it has shown from the beginning. A super locomotive in all respects.
